In this class you will learn to quilt with your sewing machine and finish all those quilt tops quickly and attractively. With all the new battings and threads available, machine quilting is beautiful. The basics will be discussed including setting up your work space, layering, batting, threads, and machine tension followed by hands-on experience that includes texturizing and stippling.

Have you noticed all our samples that include hand embroidery? We have fallen in love with them and this class will teach you all the basic stitches you need to know to make any of the projects. We will make a small sample in class that you can incorporate into a larger project or use to make a small pillow, pincushion, or similar item.

No diamonds and no “y” seams are used in the piecing of this quilt. It is made with half square triangle units and background squares. It is pieced in simple sections. The sections are then pieced together to make the center of the quilt.
